Mike Schreiber, President and Owner, created the business on that vision when he opened the company in 1992. This vision continues to play a major role in our vision statement today.

Mike Schreiber started A+ Products with a shoestring budget and a not so novel idea that “the customer is always right.” A lot has changed in last decade; new products, new industries, different economies, but through all of this one thing has remained constant: the customers’ demands are our first priority!

Mike Schreiber, President/Owner

You cannot truly define a person’s morals by what he/she does when things are smooth; they are defined by his/her actions when things are not so smooth. In 1992, Mike Schreiber was a receptionist, a picker/packer/shipper, customer service, sales, and ultimate decision maker. Although he is now President/Owner of a $12 million dollar company and growing, Mike Schreiber is highly respected by his employees and business partners for the actions and philosophies that are the foundation of this company. Mike has built this business on honesty, integrity, hard work and of course 20+ years of experience!

Over the years many things have changed at A+ Group. Products have changed, employees have changed, business has changed but a constant has been Mike’s drive to build a force of employees that share his business philosophy and uncompromising desire to run a productive and enjoyable company. Now, with approx. 50+ employees Mike dedicates most of his time and energy into grooming his management team to run his business and continue to build on the strong reputation that it has still has today! Alba Fresco , Sales Director

Alba Fresco is our newest part of the management team, but, by no means a new comer to A+ Products or this business. She is the true American Dream, moving to the US from Paraguay in 2000 (speaking limited English) and joining our warehouse staff shortly after that. She didn’t stay there long, but long enough to learn everything she could about the product. She quickly picked up English and moved into our Sourcing Department where she became one of the most knowledgeable employees on dealing with overseas sources; she also was running the department. At this point we knew we had the future of our sales in the grooming so we created an Account Manager position for her that consisted of being a liaison between all of our top customers and sales reps projects and the factories. She was a major part of our growth with overseas products and so after received the her new title as Director of Sales. Alba still has high goals but right now she is looking to help every customer satisfy their manufacturing needs with A+ Products.

 

Sales Team

This is not a Sales-Force it is a Sales Team. We have combined decades of experience with many diverse and very effective styles and personalities that together have created a powerful TEAM. We are considered a TEAM because we share a common goal and Mission and that is to “WIN”. “Win” meaning we want A+ to become the largest service supplier to all types of manufacturers in the world. “Win” also means to enjoy the finer things in life by combining experience, effort, and knowledge for productive and continuous growth.

 

 

 

IT / Accounting Team

The Finance Department consists of Accounting and HR Supervisor Sabrena Stewart, Phyllis Ruggiero, Allison Sammarco, Yeny Manjarres and Ivy Kwan with a combined 70 years of accounting experience. You will find our highly qualified staff to be knowledgeable, friendly and eager to make your partnership with A+Group both productive and enjoyable.

Our highly skilled IT department utilizes state-of-the-art technologies to identify the needs of both internal and external customers and provides timely solutions to end-users. With over 21 years combined experience, our Microsoft Certified Technicians concentrate on delivery, security, data analysis and support as their primary functions. This skilled team of IT professionals brings diversified knowledge of both technical strengths and business aptitude. Our hands on training program empower users with continuing education to increase their level of software knowledge for maximum utilization of the systems. Continuous improvement and awareness of the unique demands of our customers and vendors is what makes us A+!

 

Jerry Carbonaro, Operations Manager

 Jerry Carbonaro, Management Team. Jerry’s extensive history as a dedicated and knowledgeable manager is a perfect “fit” for our company! His responsibilities as Operations Manager include, but are not limited to, managing our Customer Service Department, as well as Purchasing / Sourcing. We are very excited to have Jerry join the A+ Products Team and are sure he will help bring us to the next level!

Jerry currently resides in Howell, NJ with his wife, Alice, and his two children, Jennifer and Michael.

 The most successful individuals, and indeed the most successful organizations, are customer focused. A passion to meet every single need and want of the customer for a given product or service is the trademark of achieving greatness in people and organizations. This requires the ability to ask the right questions of the customer and to truly listen to the answers. The customer knows what he/she wants, an achiever finds out what it is. Customer Service is the front line in today’s business world and you are our focus.

As Abraham Lincoln once said “To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity”.

 

Purchasing Department

It requires a rare breed and group of traits to be successful in the purchasing department:

Action - They put the Get IT Done into their plans. Each goal has a plan and each plan is acted upon. Unexpected barriers that are encountered are overcome by effort and ingenuity and not looked upon as excuses for defeat.

Communication - For an idea to be clearly received, it has to be clearly sent. Those who have the ability to reduce the complicated to the simple have immense power to facilitate change.

Enthusiasm - the energy that drives success.

Vision - a startling moment of clarity. The ability to reduce the complicated to simple and to articulate in detail a strategy of how to get from here to there.

Intuition - having an uncanny feel for the market place. The practical result of listening to people, knowing the processes and understanding the market.

Extra Effort - having an advantageous mindset. The ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Cindo Claudio, Facility/Warehouse Manager

Cindo brings with him over 20 years of warehouse and distribution experience. His task oriented management style, along with his seamless warehouse crew, has implemented difficult changes that have far surpassed anyone’s expectations. These changes have proven to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing overall costs. As one of the most organized and methodical members of our A+ team, Cindo has successfully reorganized our inventory to allow for maximum utilization of employee time. This along with other organizational changes has helped A+ to ensure that your metal and plastic products ship out the same day for orders received by 4:30 EST. Cindo’s work ethic and his fair yet firm negotiations with well established business partners has further reduced operating costs; from logistics (best rates and transit times) to facility run utilities and supplies. Cindo would not have accomplished his short-term visions and goals for our facilities with out the support of his team.

 

 

Shipping and Receiving Team

The shipping and receiving team at A+ Group is a highly motivated group with over 60 years combined experience. Their attention to detail, commitment to safety, teamwork, and strong organizational skills guarantee that orders ship out the same day with complete and accurate paperwork for all orders received by 4:30 PM, EST. With over $3 million dollars in inventory, our warehouse team possesses extensive product knowledge, best shipping practices and partnerships with local, national, international and express carriers that ship around the corner or around the world. Without their genuine drive to exceed consumer expectations, our vision to “WIN” would not be possible with out them.

Located in the heart of China’s trade and commerce center, our Shanghai office reaches out to almost every industrial area in China.  By keeping daily contact with factories, suppliers, and attending various trade shows, our Shanghai sourcing office stays up to date on current US-China trade conditions and trends.  Our staff comes from various backgrounds covering engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and government relations.  With first hand information and up to the minute communication between our US and China offices, we are able to offer our customers quick turn around time on quotes, samples and delivery.  Samples are made under strict supervision of our staff.  Shipments are inspected by our licensed and experienced QC team.  We make continuous efforts to improve our services and deliver products that live up to our name A+!
